If we hang a heat lamp in our hen house for the winter months, will it affect our chickens at night?
we want to make sure it wont keep them awake. Should we use a red heat light or white?

June 22nd, 2010 2:30 amThe heat lamp shouldn’t keep your chickens awake. I don’t know if there would be a difference between the red and white lights, but I really don’t think it matters.

June 22nd, 2010 2:30 amIt should be fine. I know a bunch of people who hang lights in there hen houses so they will keep laying eggs in the winter.
