    i have a road island red hen and about two weeks ago she lost a tip off one of her toe some how.Now her tail fethers by her but are always wet and dirty looking.any ideas what wrong.she must be sick?

    We have 8 Reds that we are starting our flock with, they are just a few weeks old but can’t wait to start getting eggs in a few months.

    i have that kind running around the woods but why dosent protect or sits on the egg i kinda wanna kill it and look for the one that dose care for baby chicks i hate making an incubator

    I like crossbreeds better then purebreeds.

    It’s much more fun when crossbreeds have chicks, ‘cuz you never know how the chicks will look :)
    With pure breeds, you always know how the chick will look when it’s grown up and how it will look when it hatches.

    Crossbreeds are so pretty =^__^=

    Correct.. the Blue Hen is the one in Delaware. Strangely, not of the breed known as Delawares.
